Welcome to Kharcha Bol, a product under EagleX (eaglex.co.in) ("the App", "we", "our"). By accessing or using Kharcha Bol, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
⚠️ Kharcha Bol is open-source, self-hosted software provided as-is. Read these Terms carefully, especially the Limitation of Liability section.
1. Nature of the Service
- Kharcha Bol is an open-source, self-hosted personal finance tracker. The source code is publicly available.
- The App allows users to connect their own third-party services (Supabase, Firebase, Groq, OpenAI, etc.) by providing their own API keys and database credentials.
- We do not operate, manage, or control any third-party services you connect. Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
- This App does not provide financial advice, investment guidance, or any regulated financial service.
2. User Responsibilities & Acceptable Use
By using Kharcha Bol, you agree that:
- You are solely responsible for the security and management of your own API keys, database credentials, and account data.
- You will not use the App for any unlawful purpose, including money laundering, fraud, or circumventing any applicable law.
- You will not attempt to reverse-engineer, exploit, or attack the application or any third-party service integrated with it.
- You will comply with the terms of all third-party services you connect (Supabase, Firebase, Groq, OpenAI, etc.).
- You are at least 13 years of age (or the minimum age required by your jurisdiction).
3. API Keys, Credentials & Security
- Any API keys, database URLs, or credentials you provide are stored locally in your browser's localStorageand/or encrypted using industry-standard encryption (AES-256 / SHA-256) before any server-side storage.
- Despite our reasonable security measures, no system is 100% secure. By using this App, you acknowledge that there is an inherent risk of unauthorized access, data breach, or API key exposure.
- In the event of a security incident (including but not limited to unauthorized database access, API key leakage, or data breach), Kharcha Bol and its contributors shall not be held liable for any resulting damages, losses, or costs — including but not limited to:
- Unauthorized API usage charges incurred on your third-party accounts
- Loss of financial data or personal information
- Business interruption or reputational damage
- You are strongly advised to: use separate, scoped API keys with minimal permissions; rotate keys regularly; and monitor your third-party service dashboards for unusual activity.
4. Open-Source Disclaimer
- Kharcha Bol is distributed under an open-source license. The source code is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
- Any person who self-hosts, modifies, or forks this application does so at their own risk. The original developers are not responsible for issues arising from modified versions of the App.

Kharcha Bol integrates with the following third-party services. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms:

- Firebase / Google — Authentication & Cloud Services (firebase.google.com/terms)
- Groq — AI Processing (groq.com/terms-of-use)
- OpenAI — AI Processing (openai.com/terms)
We are not responsible for the availability, performance, security, or privacy practices of any third-party service.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WE EXPRESSLY DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY, OR OTHERWISE, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
7. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL KHARCHA BOL, ITS DEVELOPERS, CONTRIBUTORS, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, PUNITIVE, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES — INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, API CHARGES, SERVICE INTERRUPTION, COMPUTER DAMAGE, SYSTEM FAILURE, OR THE COST OF SUBSTITUTE SERVICES — EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. THIS APPLIES WHETHER THE CLAIM IS BASED ON CONTRACT, TORT, NEGLIGENCE, STRICT LIABILITY, OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY.
OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY TO YOU SHALL NOT EXCEED ₹0 (ZERO RUPEES) / $0 (ZERO US DOLLARS), AS THIS IS A FREE, OPEN-SOURCE APPLICATION PROVIDED WITHOUT CHARGE.
8. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Kharcha Bol and its developers from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, awards, losses, costs, expenses, or fees (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to your violation of these Terms or your use of the App.
9. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be reflected by updating the Effective Date above. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
10. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in India.
